Project Description: Houston Secondary School is one of our longest standing partner schools. We started working with the school in 2015 by first renovating the school’s library. We also provided 600 books to fill the library. We then followed up by providing $500 US to pay for school lunches for up to 20 students to have one hot meal per week for one term. To encourage the students to read, we sponsored an annual reading competition in 2019 and in 2020. And lastly, we donated an additional 100 books to support the school’s reading program in 2021.
